KSB Group has won a contract to ship 14 giant submersible motor pumps for flood management in Paraguay.

The KSB pumps will equip numerous pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y control de inundaciones” project. They shall be used to forestall future flooding during the high-water season alongside the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.

Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. The most move fee of each axial flow pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump units are anticipated to be delivered by the top of this year.
