Three new N-Eupex couplings and optimised flexible parts

Flender is expanding the portfolio of its versatile coupling sequence N-Eupex by introducing three new sorts. The new products enable customers extra flexibility of their techniques with out dropping the compact design and excessive load capacity of a pin coupling.
The new N-Eupex ERN is equipped with a torque limiter, which provides much more

safety in the drivetrain in many purposes. The coupling variant allows users to

specify a most torque in order that important torques for the motor and output machine

aren’t transmitted. Machines and techniques are protected against overload and

injury, thus significantly growing system availability.
With the N-Eupex B plus clamping element, Flender introduces a second new

coupling that ensures frictionally engaged clamping connections. In this case, the

plain, cylindrical machine shaft end is related to the coupling hub through a clamping

connection with no feather key and service ability is elevated. For example,
assembly or substitute of worn elastomers can be carried out far more simply.
No connecting machine elements must be moved, the time required is halved

and so is the downtime of the machine.
With pressure gauge 10 bar -Eupex DKS, a new double-cardanic coupling is launched as a “short

version” into Flender’s modular system. While the DK sort, which was launched in

2020, addresses the pump market with commonplace growth pieces for normed shaft

distances, the DKS is the shortest possible double-cardanic solution for the market.
The shortened total length enables cost-optimized use with a small shaft distance

dimension with out shedding some nice benefits of a double-cardanic coupling connection.
New elastomers for the pin couplings spherical off the modular extensions. In addition

to the beforehand used rubber elements made from NBR, Flender now additionally provides

elastomers manufactured from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Following the torque

enhance for all N-Eupex couplings with NBR packings in 2020, using TPU

packings allows the facility density to be elevated by another 20 p.c on

average. For sizes 300 and above, the acquainted NBR elastomer is combined with

fabric inserts and the torque capacity is once more raised.
“With a view to the lengthy custom of cam couplings, our development engineers are

systematically engaged on increasing the variety of combos even additional. The

2022 enhancements give our customers a broad range of sustainable choices for

optimizing their machines and methods even more and lowering maintenance,”

explains André Artmann, Head of Coupling Sales.
